MTV to make movies with Shah Rukh, Hrithik and Aamir

Popular music channel MTV is all set to make three films with the reigning stars of today - Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan.

All the three movies will be regular commercial productions to be made on a grand scale, a source at MTV told IANS.

Right now, the actors signed by the channel are busy working in their respective movies. Shah Rukh is currently shooting for Yash Raj Films' 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', Hrithik with home production 'Kites' and Aamir with his much-awaited 'Ghajini.'

Since these movies are slated for release later this year, the proposed MTV productions are likely to mount the sets next year. The channel, however, refused to elaborate on it.

MTV India's past attempt at filmmaking, however, was not encouraging. In 2006, the channel made 'Ghoom', a 45-minute spoof on Yash Raj Films' 'Dhoom', but it bombed at the box-office.

Sexy Sherlyn Chopra's bikini causes panic

SHERLYN CHOPRA, the flashy singer and actress is all set for her upcoming city tours through Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune, Vizag, Hyderabad and Mumbai on September 6, Saturday in support of her recently launched album, Dard-e-Sherlyn.

The organisers are in a state of panic and very much concerned about her decision to flaunt the same breathtaking attire she wore for the filming of her album video – a diamond studded bikini top and golden hot pants.

Sheryln’s sex appeal sells her songs as much as her voice and dance, if not more. The organisers are very concerned about the security measures at the different venues across the country.

They are not just expecting trouble from charged up males, but also from those tempted to rip off Sherlyn’s bikini top just for its diamonds. They believe that wearing a bikini, which has a couple of real diamonds at such public functions would be extremely risky.

The actress had employed an extra assistant to keep a watch on the top whenever she left it in her vanity van during the shooting of the remix album.

It is said that Sherlyn would perform with around six to eight bouncers surrounding and guarding her. They would be strategically placed near the stage, alongwith four to six plainclothes securitymen, who would mingle with the audience to tackle any troublemaker in the show.

Sourav Ganguly's life will unfold on screen

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly will soon be seen in action in front of the camera in a one-hour twenty minute-long docu-feature that will showcase the ace cricketer's journey from childhood.

Titled The Warrior Prince, the docu-feature is being produced and directed by Mitali Ghosal, a sports journalist-turned-filmmaker, who struck upon the idea of making the docu-feature on Ganguly after seeing his first century at the Eden Gardens in this year's Pakistan's tour of India.

"It will be a documentary-cum-feature... In the sense, it will not only feature Ganguly's cricketing highs and lows with the facts and figures, but it will also include his personal life, with inputs from his wife (Dona), brother (Snehashish), father (Chandidas) and also friends," revealed Ghosal.

"Many things in Ganguly's life are still unknown... How he became a cricketer... and a left-hander... The docu-feature will be peppered with such small but interesting things. Like an incident in that famous England tour in 1996 when Ganguly made debut Test century. Ganguly was very hurt when the then skipper Mohammed Azharuddin jokingly asked the left hander: 'Have you done your shopping in England?" said Ghosal.

To be released in English and Bengali, the film will have small interviews of Azharuddin, Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh and Arjuna Ranatunga, among others, sharing their experiences with Ganguly.

"Sachin Tendulkar and Steve Waugh have already given their consent for the small interviews. We are just working out on their suitable timings. We are also thinking of approaching Ricky Ponting and Brett Lee during their tour beginning October.

"We have already shot a few during the Sri Lanka tour. Now we are looking for some old footages of Ganguly...may be the Ranji days," Ghosal added. The film will tentatively be released in December this year.
